What we did
HP wanted to create a Consumer Notebook Portal that provides customer benefit-driven product messaging, relevant and related information, in order to support consumers with their final purchase decision of a HP consumer notebook.

The portal also needs to manage and house all current and future information, as well as all campaign sites relating to HP Consumer Notebooks, acting as a one-stop destination for any user looking to consider a new HP notebook.

The Idea
Within this portal, major sections include product pages with benefit-driven copy, product category `landing pages, Design stories and Smart Technology content pillars. All of these emphasise HP product designs and inspirations, as well as the intelligent and advanced technology built into every HP notebook. New product launch campaign micro-sites are also housed within the portal.

Ample prompting and content lead-ins are also peppered throughout the site to further encourage users to consider the notebook. They can check out product specifications, view brochures or be led directly to HP.com to find out more about the notebook of their choice.

The HP Consumer Notebook Portal aims to highlight that each HP notebook has its own special personality, relevant to each individual. The resultant impact could then be functional, enabling you to work more effectively, or emotional, enhancing a certain emotion or making you feel something different.

It also aims to provide long-term cost-savings and production efficiency for HP, as it serves as a content holder for all campaigns related to the consumer notebooks. This means that there will no longer be a need to create new stand-alone destinations, and will also have resonance for users as they will always be led back to the same site.

Results:
Portal is only launched in Dec 08.
