Nokia 'You Make It Reel'
To create awareness of the Nokia N93i and its unique selling points, we built an online platform for users to share their world of music via videography and an online contest - giving them the chance to shoot, edit and share their self-made music videos cut to tracks by international artistes for a final prize of USD10,000 and an "Indie Showcase" (mini-concert).

How analytics was demonstrated
The task given to analytics was to measure engagements that led to participation. The campaign is still in progress. However, in the first 5 weeks the campaign achieved:
  • 88,236 unique visitors
  • 23,500 visits to the "About Nokia N93i" page
  • 907 videos uploaded
  • 2,369 registered users
How design was demonstrated
Greyskull was the independent band used and XM wanted to keep very close to the indie band theme; and, at the same time, ensure that we incorporated Nokia Multimedia's branding elements. The design was developed to drive participation with an easy-to-use video upload tool.





How technology was demonstrated
XM designed and developed the rich internet platform using programmable Flash, XML and backend database that rich user experience combine with video uploading and streaming.
How strategy was demonstrated
XM needed to achieve the following objectives:
  1. Create awareness of Nokia N93i and its unique selling points, reinforce Nokia Nseries leadership in mobile videography
  2. Drive participation in videography through online contest
  3. Develop a platform to support video-related marketing initiatives for Nokia Nseries
With that, XM worked closely with our clients to develop a 360 activation campaign that included TV, Radio, Print and Online Media to drive awareness and participation.
